The College of Health Care Professions

Associate of Applied Science in Diagnostic Medical Sonography

We provide the training to become an Diagnostic Medical Sonographer with hands-on training to perform medical ultrasonography.

CHCP’s accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography Associate of Applied Science Degree will prepare you for an exciting career as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer. A Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (also known as an Ultrasound Technologist) uses a transducer to emit sound waves across specific parts of the body. These sound waves echo and reflect back to the transducer to produce images (also known as sonograms) of the body’s interior. Sonograms are used to highlight internal issues that would not be seen otherwise. In order to be a successful sonographer you must be able to properly operate the ultrasound technology, display compassionate patient care, and embody professionalism at all times. After you complete your sonography training with The College of Health Care Professions, you’ll be prepared with the necessary knowledge and skills to get an entry-level job as an ultrasound sonographer.
