A new addition to Grand Canyon University’s distinguished College of Fine Arts and Production, the Bachelor of Arts in Social Media is designed for individuals who are passionate about social media and the effects social media platforms have on consumers and businesses. This program focuses on developing the practical skills needed to design and produce digital social media content while supporting the business expectations of an employer. The Bachelor of Arts in Social Media prepares students to design, write and produce content for social media campaigns, blogs, websites, email marketing and other digital media activities.

Courses for this 120-credit program are taught by seasoned experts with extensive expertise in the evolving world of social media. The coursework for this program teaches digital media design through the continuum of production including strategic planning and target audience definition, creation of infographics, photographic and video imagery and copywriting for short and long digital formats. Students will also learn how to design and extend a brand, build social media calendars, drive engagement, utilize effective SEO strategies, use industry-standard data reporting tools and evaluate the findings. To graduate from this program, all students must pass courses including:
