Master of Science in Nursing - Quality and Safety

Northcentral University’s Quality and Safety specialization is for students pursuing their Master of Science in Nursing (MSN). This specialization prepares staff nurses to assume a broader leadership role in risk management related to quality and safety improvement within a health care organization while actively participating in and leading interdisciplinary teams. The course outcomes are aligned with the American Association of Colleges (AACN) MSN Essentials (2011). Specialization-focused courses are also aligned with the Graduate-Level Quality and Safety Education in Nursing (QSEN) Competencies. The program is designed to offer graduate-level education to registered nurses (RN) with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree.
