Education Specialist (EdS) - International Education

The Education Specialist degree in International Education at National University will teach you the knowledge and skills needed to work effectively within the context of global economic, political, cultural and community influences in education. In this specialization, you will explore theories of comparative education, cross-national comparative analysis and strategies, global educational transfer and borrowing, international development, and the relation between culture and education.
Through assigned readings and course assignments, you will examine the global dimensions of several contemporary issues in international education, including the hopes of global cooperation, the complexity of educational accountability, authority and professionalism. You will also study international organizations, with special emphasis on practices, strategies and techniques that can be adapted to intercultural/multicultural contexts.
